Not for publication — awaiting The 7Q Foundation’s written permissionEngineering time, given where it matters.
We donate engineering time and platform support to organisations doing work that deserves better tools than it can afford. Right now, that means Diverrx.
Why we do this
Most of the organisations that would benefit most from well-built software are the ones least able to pay for it. The skills we sell to businesses — building platforms, connecting systems, keeping them secure and running — are exactly the skills small non-profits need and rarely have.
So we give some of our time away, to the same standard we build to for anyone else. Not a separate, lighter version of the work. The same engineering, the same care, the same published standard.
Diverrx
Connecting families to the support their children need.
Diverrx is a national resource hub that connects families of children with special needs to providers in their area — therapists, educators, specialists and services — so that finding help does not depend on who you happen to know.
It is run by The 7Q Foundation, which was established to support families navigating special needs. The foundation was inspired by the experiences of Zidan Ali, a young boy with a genetic deletion on chromosome 7q, and alongside Diverrx it runs inclusion-supported day and weekend programmes, webinars, conferences and community events.
What we contribute
Engineering time
Our engineers contribute directly to the platform — building, fixing and improving what families and providers use.
Platform support
Keeping the platform reliable, secure and running, so the foundation's small team can spend its time on families rather than infrastructure.
The same standard
Everything we contribute is built to the same published engineering standard as our client work. A charity's users deserve software that holds up as much as anyone's.
Get involved
Support the work directly.
The most useful thing most people can do is support The 7Q Foundation itself. If you are a provider of services for children with special needs, you can list with Diverrx so families can find you.
